A Douglas police officer arrested a 63-year-old woman on drug charges after he heard her screaming and attempting to take her clothes off around 1 a.m. on July 21, 2025.

The incident report states that the officer was patrolling the area of East College Park Drive and Mark Hannah Street when the officer heard a woman screaming. The officer approached the woman’s house and found the female, identified as Karen McKinnon, 63, of Douglas, screaming and taking her shirt off. The officer asked her to keep her shirt and McKinnon complied, the report says, but she kept yelling, “Get them off me.”

The report says that in the days prior to July 21, the officer had responded to the same house. During those incidents, McKinnon would be naked and saying that snakes were on her. The officer called EMS and had her checked out each time.

In this latest incident, other officers arrived and noticed that she had a crack pipe in her right hand, the report says. She also had suspected crack cocaine in her left hand. McKinnon was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance and possession/use of a drug-related object. She also had a probation violation warrant. McKinnon was booked into the Coffee County Jail and remains incarcerated.
