The Coffee Trojans are 1-0 after defeating the Bainbridge Bearcats at Jardine Stadium in the season opener on Friday night.

Running back KJ DeBruce scored all four touchdowns. The Trojans were up 21-7 at the half. Each team scored one second-half touchdown.

“They made some adjustments and they’ve improved their team. Credit to them and credit to our guys for fighting through adversity. Good programs find a way to win. We’re 1-0 and getting ready for Ware. Everyone knows how important that game is around here. We’re ready to go down there,” said defensive coordinator Mike Granato after the game.

Coffee travels to Waycross to face the Ware County Gators next Friday night at Memorial Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
