Terry Lamar Minchew, age 53, of Fitzgerald, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, following a brief illness . He was born on June 12, 1972, in Douglas, GA to Herbert Lee Minchew and Linda Schwindle.

His survivors include: his beloved wife, Kristi Minchew of Fitzgerald, GA; two sons, John (Christine) Minchew of Douglas, GA and Cody Minchew of Douglas, GA; one daughter, Kymber Minchew of Blackshear, GA; one stepdaughter, Ashley Sutton of Hahira, GA; one stepson, Shane Kirkland; mother, Linda (Jim) Schwindle of Douglas, GA; three sisters, Sandra (Tony) Soloman, Teresa (Scott) Smith, and Angela (John) Given; grandchildren, Emberlyn Minchew, Addlyn Minchew, and Ava Bardes; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Lee Minchew.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 29th, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 29th, 2025 at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home, with Rev. Bob Powell, Rev. Cliff Kirkland and Rev. Lee Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Full Gospel Tabernacle Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include: Rick Lewis, Matthew Nix, Eric King, Joshua Anderson, Justin Anderson, and Kameron Taylor.

Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
