Recently, CRMC hosted a ceremony to announce the DAISY Award recipient for the second quarter of 2025. Chase Dees, LPN, was the second quarter’s honoree. Chase was nominated by three patients and their family members, all who praised him for his compassionate and attentive care. In their heartfelt nomination, one family member shared, “My dad was recently hospitalized, and Chase gave us excellent service with warmth and compassion for our dad and family. He even assisted with dad on his day off during dad’s release to Vista Park. My dad is blind and battling dementia, and Chase went above and beyond to make sure dad was taken care of.”
CRMC extends sincere congratulations to Chase and all the incredible nominees for the second quarter of 2025. Your commitment to excellence in patient care is inspiring, and your dedication makes a difference in the lives of those CRMC serves. Thank you for exemplifying CRMC’s purpose: To Serve, To Heal, To Save. All nominated nurses are recognized and one is selected whose contributions stand out.
The DAISY Award is a globally recognized honor, created by The DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Following Patrick’s eight-week hospitalization, his family was profoundly impacted by the compassionate care provided by nurses. In 1999, the Barnes family established the foundation to honor nurses worldwide for their dedication and extraordinary care. Today, over 3,400 healthcare facilities, including CRMC, participate in the DAISY Award program.
Nurses can be nominated for the DAISY Award by anyone who witnesses or experiences remarkable, compassionate care – patients, family members, colleagues, or other staff members.
