A 39-year-old Douglas woman was arrested and jailed after she allegedly sent nude photos of another woman to one of the victim’s relatives without permission, according to an incident report from the Douglas Police Department.
The report says that on September 4, 2025, officers responded to a Gordon Street address to meet a complainant. Once officers arrived, they saw where the suspect, identified as Alma Delia Abonza, 39, had allegedly sent nude photos of a relative of the complainant to the complainant. The complainant’s relative and a family member of Abonza had been in a dispute. Abonza had allegedly gotten photos of the victim off of her relative’s phone and sent them to the complainant. She did so because the victim had been making social media posts that Abonza didn’t like, according to the report.
The report states that officers told Abonza that the social media posts weren’t criminal but sending nude photos without permission was a criminal violation. Abonza was arrested and charged with electronic transmission/post of video or photo depicting sexually explicit conduct without consent. She was transported to the Coffee County Jail and released on bond.
