Trula Steverson, age 73, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at her residence. She was born on July 8, 1952, in Keokee, VA to the late Opal Henry.

Her survivors include: one daughter, Angel Steverson of Douglas, GA; three granddaughters, Logan (Jordan) Anderson of Denver, CO, Macie (Matthew) Sutton of Douglas, GA, and Bailey Martin of Douglas, GA; great grandchild, Tracie Beth Sutton; two sisters, Linda Gayle Waters of Milledgeville, GA, and Christine Garrett of Boston, MA; special nephew, Lee Steverson; special cousin, Kim Arwood; along with several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by: daughter, Tracie Lynn Steverson; mother, Opal Henry and step-son, Ricky Steverson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA. Interment will follow at the City of Douglas Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include: Lee Steverson, Todd Bradford, Jordan Anderson, Matthew Sutton, Bailey Stephens, and Danny Anderson.

Honorary pallbearers will include: Ronald Taylor, Johnny & Katrina Brantley, Gayle Waters, Douglas Mitchell III and Brian & Sheila Massey.

Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.simsfuneralhome.org.

Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
