Coffee High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) gathered for their October meeting with special guest Key’shun Holmes, local entrepreneur and founder of the Rich Royal clothing brand. Holmes, a former Coffee High student, shared his inspiring journey of starting his business right here in Coffee County and how his brand has grown beyond what he first envisioned.

The meeting took place behind C-Wing, where students gathered around a s’mores campfire to hear Holmes speak about perseverance, creativity, and the power of starting where you are. “I left the meeting motivated to pursue my own dreams,” said FBLA member Diego Tomas. “If he was able to achieve all he has, then I can, too.”

Despite the chilly wind, the warm campfire, s’mores, and hot chocolate kept everyone cozy as students networked with Holmes and discussed their own entrepreneurial goals. Holmes took time to speak one-on-one with several students, offering advice and encouragement for their growing businesses.

The chapter also discussed upcoming events, including the Fall Leadership Conference in Athens, and the Region Leadership Conference in Valdosta, this January. Members have been staying after school to prepare for competitive events such as Broadcast Journalism, Future Business Educator, and Business Plan.

If you would like to sponsor Coffee High FBLA students’ travel to these competitions, please contact Mrs. Kristi Joyner at kristi.joyner@coffee.k12.ga.us or Ms. Kelly Gilliard at kelly.gilliard@coffee.k12.ga.us for sponsorship information.
