Mrs. Dorothy Jean Tompkins, age 45, of Douglas passed away suddenly Friday, August 7, 2015, at her residence following a short illness. She was born May 21, 1970 to Gary Lee Vanbarriger and the late Mon Jean Crady Vanbarriger.

Survivors include: Her Husband: Stephen Tompkins of Douglas, Ga.; 3 Daughters: Ashlee Thomas, Savannah Tompkins, both of Douglas, Ga., and Brittni Thomas of St. Louis, Missouri. Father: Gary Lee Vanbarriger of Middleburg, Florida. 3 Sisters: Michelle Fernandez, and Casey Smith, both of Jacksonville, Florida, and Carly Jo Whitmer of Middleburg, Florida, 2 Brothers: Edward Thomas, and Joe Teston, both of Jacksonville, Florida. 2 Grandchildren: Aaleyah Mercer, and AnaLeigh Lemus, both of Douglas, Ga.; Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives.

The family will begin receiving friends Saturday morning, August 15, 2015, from 9:00 to 11:00 A. M., at Ricketson Funeral Home, The Inurnment will follow at a later date.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
