A search warrant executed Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old Douglas man on charges of drug distribution.

Officials with the Douglas – Coffee Drug Unit (DCDU), with assistance from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol, executed the search warrant at a residence located at 901 N. Pearl Ave. in Douglas.

Detectives seized an undisclosed quantity of marijuana, scales, and a .22 caliber rifle equipped with a flash suppressor and extended magazine.

As a result of the search, Aaron Anderson of Douglas was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

In an unrelated incident, DCDU authorities also reported that officers stopped a vehicle last Tuesday, Sept. 22, on Ga. Hwy. 135 at Bethel Rd. in Douglas.

During the traffic stop, officers discovered methamphetamine in the vehicle and subsequently arrested Dennis Lytle (42) of Douglas for possession of methamphetamine.
