Laverne Adamson Bailey, age 88, of Douglas, GA formally of Macon, GA passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at her son’s residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Bailey was born on October 10, 1927, in Clayton County, GA to the late Leonard Scott Adamson and Frances Miranda Peters Adamson.
Survivors include: her son, Stephen (Terri) Bailey of Douglas, GA; brother, Grady Adamson of Barnsville, GA; sister, Emily Montalvo of Statesboro, GA; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anita Laverne Stanhope; and two sons, Daniel Edwin Bailey and Glynn Arthur Bailey.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Northway Church in Macon, GA with the family officiating.
