The Broxton Police Dept. and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation have secured arrest warrants on Dustin Ryan Steverson for his alleged role in a shooting Wednesday morning in Broxton that left him and two females injured.

Officials have charged Steverson with four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of cruelty to children in the third degree, aggravated stalking, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Steverson remained hospitalized for his injuries as of midday Thursday. Officials state he will be transported to the Coffee County Jail upon his release.

Officers with the Broxton Police Dept. responded to Hunter Lane early Wednesday morning in reference to a report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, they discovered two victims,  Mary Myers and Jerri Lynn Myers, at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds.  They were both transported to hospitals in Savannah and Douglas.  Steverson also sustained injuries during the incident and was taken by family members to a hospital in Ben Hill County.

GBI officials state the investigation remains active and ongoing as agents and investigators continue to pursue leads.

Anyone with information pertaining to the investigation is asked to contact the Broxton Police Department at (912) 359-3813 or the Georgia Bureau of Investigation at (912) 389-4103.
