James Hoyt Hope, age 69, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Hope was born on January 29, 1947, in Ambrose, GA to the late Benjamin Hoyt Hope and Eunice Day Hope.
Survivors include: his wife, Mildred Carelock of Ambrose, GA; two daughters, Angela Joyner of Tifton, GA and Cathy Walsh of Douglas, GA; sister, Joyce Carver of Douglas, GA; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Jeanette Paulk and Juanita Batten.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.
