Floriece Spivey, age 85, of Ambrose, Ga passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Spivey was born on November 3, 1930, in Douglas, Ga to the late Charlton William Burkett and Annie Lee Stapleton Burkett.

Survivors include: her two sons, Ronnie (Teresa) Spivey of Broxton, Ga and Joel Spivey of Nicholls, Ga; daughter, Sharon Wooten of Broxton, Ga; eleven grandchildren, Charlie Mac Wooten, Phaedra Wooten (Forrest) Andrews, Timothy (Alicia) Wooten, Waylon Wooten, Kyle (Jennifer) Spivey, Lori (Adam) Smith, Jarrod (Sarah) Spivey, Chance Spivey, Katie Spivey, Amy (Brian) Siler, and Jana (Ben) White; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her caretaker, Elma Soloman; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Spivey; a son, Larry Spivey; and a brother, Eston Burkett.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 30, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Greene and Rev. Jimmy Sayer officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Pond Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
