Darrell Eugene Porter, age 50, of Nicholls, Ga passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Porter was born on August 10, 1966, in Centre, Ala. to the late Gene Porter and Minnie Sue Brewster Porter.
Survivors include: his wife, Carla Porter of Nicholls, Ga.; son, Cam Porter of Douglas, Ga.; daughter, Savannah Porter of Nicholls, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Helen (Rick) Fogle, of Waycross, Ga. and Gena Porter of Douglas, Ga.; two brothers, Nickey Allen Porter of Douglas, Ga. and Jeremy Boyd (Heather) Porter of Douglas, Ga.; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his sister, Debra Jean Hursey, and a brother, Danny Wayne Porter.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 4 :00 p.m. at Wilsonville Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Charles Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Roxie Mae Church Cemetery.
