Gordon “Bug” Lewis, Jr., age 82, of Douglas, Ga. passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Lewis was born on September 5, 1934, in Hazlehurst, Ga. to the late Gordon Lewis, Sr. and Nettie Smith Lewis.

Survivors include: his wife, Magdalene Morgan Lewis of Douglas, Ga.; son, Gordon Dewayne (Bridgette) Lewis of Douglas, Ga.; four daughters, Vicki Lewis of West Green, Ga, Sharon Lewis of West Green, Ga., Shirley Stone of West Green, Ga., and Jennifer Lewis of Douglas, Ga.; brother, John Lewis of Douglas, Ga., two sisters, Jean Carol Hall of Douglas, Ga. and Doris Long of Bradenton, Fla.; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Lewis, Sr and Nettie Smith Lewis; three brothers, Leonard Lewis, Doyle Lewis, Virlyn Lewis; grandson, Joshua Burnam; and a great-grandson, Colton Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Harvest Time Church of God with Rev. Johnny Smith, Rev. Levi Jones, and Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Byrd Church Cemetery.
