Bobby Buchan, age 80, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. Mr. Buchan was born on May 13, 1936, in Douglas, GA to the late Lenton Lee “L.L.” Buchan and Maude Johnson Buchan of Ambrose, GA.

Survivors include: his wife of 62 years, Emily Jean Buchan of Douglas, GA; three sons, Vance (Myra) Buchan, David (Michelle) Buchan both of Douglas, GA, and Lee (Kimberly) Buchan of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, Tiffany Waters, Taylor Buchan, Kendall Dodson, Preslee Buchan, and Jordan Buchan; brother, Tom (Jean) Buchan of Savannah, GA; sister, Rita Sears and the late H.F. Sears of Pearson, GA; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by a grandson, William Forrest Buchan; two sisters, Billie Courson of Sunnyville, CA and Shirley Smith of Savannah, GA.

Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Satilla Memorial Gardens with Rev. Herman Griffin officiating.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
