Charlton “C.W.” Walker Deen, age 60, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mr. Deen was born on September 8, 1956, in Douglas, GA to the late James Albert Deen and Frances Leola Anderson Deen. Survivors include: his wife, Frances Deen of Douglas, GA; five daughters, Melissa Kight of West Green, GA, Donna Chaney of Douglas, GA, Dianna Voorhees of Douglas, GA, Niclole Jewell of Douglas, GA, and Courtney Shumans of Hazlehurst, GA; three sons, Jessie Voorhees of Douglas, GA, Jason Voorhees of Douglas, GA, Jeffrey Voorhees of Douglas, GA; sister, Brenda (J.J.) Stone of Wray, GA; brother, Wayne Deen of Douglas, GA; thirty-one grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Deen and Leola Deen; and four brothers, James Deen, Charles Deen, Michael Deen, and Larry Dewayne Deen.

The funeral service was held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Ann Braswell officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery in Atkinson County. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
