Laverne Deal, age 87, of Ambrose, Ga. passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017, at Pruitt Health Care following an extended illness. Mrs. Deal was born on November 29, 1929, in Ambrose, Ga. to the late Quincy Purvis and Mollie Smith Purvis.
Survivors include: her daughter, Wanda Paulk of Ambrose, Ga.; sons: Don (Sherry) Paulk and Randy Deal both of Ambrose, Ga.; grandchildren: Kelly Batten, Sid Deal, Phillip Paulk, and Kimberly Deal; great-grandchildren: Halleigh Deal, Carter Deal, Charlie Deal, Ava Lynn Deal, Brooks Batten, Cooper Batten, and Summer Paulk; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Marvin Deal.
Graveside Service was held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Union Church Cemetery with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating.
