On Thursday, July 20, 2017, the Douglas Area Employer Committee made a $1,000 donation to the Airbase Preservation & Development Committee (APDC). The APDC was formed by the City of Douglas to preserve the historic WWII airbase and buildings located at Douglas Municipal Gene Chambers Airport.
