Mrs. Neva “Evelyn” Harper, age 80, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at Pruitt Nursing Home. Mrs. Harper was born on September 25, 1937, in Berrien, County to the late Walter Nugent and Ethel Lott Nugent.
Survivors include: her sons: Walter Harper of Ambrose, GA, George and wife, Kathy Harper of Ambrose, GA.; sisters: Helen and husband, Paul Rayfield of Jacksonville, FL., Mikki Tomberlin of Jacksonville, FL., Jackie and husband, Elton Steptoe; brother, Carl and wife, Wanda Nugent of Jacksonville, FL.; grandchildren: Brooke and husband, Brandon Fletcher, Carol and husband, Ricky Hutcheson, Nick and wife, Jessica Harper, John Highsmith, Dana H. and husband, Jacob Adams, Cason Adams, Rebecca Adams, Katy and husband, Greg Souther, Rocky Joe Harper; sister-in-law, Jimmie Sue Denton of Douglas, GA.; brother-in-law: Carroll and his wife, Joanne Spivey; godson: Ben Stapleton, James Densel and wife Ashley Harper. He was preceded in death: by her husband, George Harper; mother, Ethel Lott Nugent; father, Walter Nugent; daughters: Carla Paulk, Vicki Highsmith and a granddaughter Becky Highsmith.
Graveside Service was held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at The Flem Harper Cemetery, at 4 p.m. where Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiated.
