Mr. Joseph Edward Hanna, age 72, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, in Douglas, GA. Mr. Hanna was born on August 7, 1945, in Ft Sumner, New Mexico, to the late Abdoo Hanna and Freda Boutress Hanna.
Survivors include: his wife, Maudie Marie Hutto Hanna of Douglas, GA; children: Annemarie and husband Kevin Fussell of Douglas, GA, Vanessa and husband Chris Brown of Woodland, AL, Roni Jo and husband Charlie Russ of Douglas, GA, and Jeremy and wife Amber Ford who was embraced as a son of Greenville, SC; sisters: Joanne and husband Al Lott of Broxton, GA, Joyce and husband Rick Ricciardelli of Douglas, GA; brother, Jerome and wife JoAnne Hanna of TX; grandchildren: Ryan Hanna, Carey Gordy, Lindsey Brown, Jordan Brown, Hanna Fussell, Harrison Russ, Luke Russ, Brady Russ, Joseph Russ, Elijah Russ, Gabe Ford, Graycen Ford, Sylar Ford and Haylen Ford; great-grandchild, Zaylor Gordy. He was preceded in death by: his mother, Freda Boutress Hanna; father, Abdoo Hanna; sisters: Veronica Hanna, Janis Hanna, and Judy Shepphard.
Funeral Service was held on Friday, December 22, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home where Father Paul O’Connell officiated.
