Mrs. Reatha Adams Hamilton, age 83, of Douglas, GA, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Broxton, GA. Mrs. Hamilton was born on November 11, 1934, in Douglas, GA to the late Weldon Adams and Dora Worth Adams.

Survivors include: daughter, Janice (Jerome) Day of Broxton, GA; sons: John Don (Verlinda) Hamilton of Nicholls, GA., Jerry Hamilton of Douglas, GA; sisters: Carolyn (Noah) Kirkland of Hilliard Fl., Mary Pittillo of Hendersonville, NC; and sister-in-law, Linda Moon of Buenavista, GA; 7 seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends: Michele Jones and Angie. She was preceded in death by: husband, John Hamilton; mother, Dora Worth Adams; father, Weldon Adams; brothers: George Adams, J. W. “Dub” Adams, Dwight “Big Boy” Adams, B. H. Adams; sisters: Beatrice “Bat” Moore, Naomi “Toodle” Matthews and Hazel Lee.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 4 p.m. at the Burkett Baptist Church where Rev. Donnie Kirkland, Rev. Carroll Lee and Rev. Joseph Lee officiated. Interment followed at Burkett Baptist Church Cemetery.
