Ruby N. Daniels, age 78, of Douglas, GA passed away on Saturday May 19, 2018 at Manor House following an extended illness. Mrs. Daniels was born on June 16, 1939 in Coffee County, GA the daughter to the late Baily Harper and Kizzie Mae Brady Harper.

She was owner of Daniels Sewing Center and worked at Holt’s Bakery for many years. She was a member of Mt. Union Holiness Baptist Church, Lax, GA.

Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by: her husband, Olan Daniels.

Survivors include: her daughter, Cindy McNeill and husband Brian of Douglas, GA; sister, Alice Register of Fitzgerald, GA; grandchildren: Brett McNeill and wife Naiz of Valdosta, GA, Austin McNeill of Douglas, GA, Justin McNeill of Douglas, GA and Jennifer McNeill of Douglas, GA; great grandchild, Beau Daniel McNeill of Valdosta, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Monday May 21, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lax Holiness Baptist Church where Rev. Donald Burke and Rev. Glen Fussell officiated. Interment followed in Paulk Cemetery, Lax, GA.

Pallbearers were Roy Joiner, Johnny Robinson, Glen Walker, Willie N. McDonald, Howard Holt and Junior McDonald. Honorary pallbearers were church members and Holt’s Bakery employees.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
