Mr. Walter Darrell Stubbs, age 50, passed away suddenly on January 29, 2019 following a motor vehicle accident. Mr. Stubbs was employed at Fletcher’s Oil Company for many years. Mr. Stubbs was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Clarence and Estelle Stubbs. Also preceding Mr. Stubbs in death are Becky Jones, Clarence Stubbs, and Mary Stubbs.

Mr. Stubbs is survived by his wife Mrs. Jill Stubbs; one son Mr. Matthew Stubbs; daughter Sarah Stubbs Taylor; one son-in-law Wesley Taylor; siblings Julie (Donnie) Norton, Shirley Cobb, Sharon (Johnny) Nobles, Clara (Robert) Weber, Linda Stubbs, Harvey Stubbs, Glen (Brenda) Stubbs, and Lillian Stubbs; grandchildren Kasey Underwood, Terry Taylor, Collin Hooinga and Desiree Hooinga; great grandchildren Paisley Taylor and Brynleigh Taylor; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11 am at Southview Church of God in Christ in Douglas.

 

McIver’s Funeral Home of Douglas is in charge of final arrangements.
