Mrs. Thelma Virginia Ricketson Hutcheson, age 93 of Douglas, passed away Tuesday morning, March 12, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mrs. Hutcheson was born November 29, 1925 to the late James T. Ricketson and the late Katie Duncan Ricketson Harper. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Donald Hutcheson, her step-father: Tommy Harper and 11 Siblings: Milton Ricketson, Alvin L. Ricketson, Sr., Lucille Hutcheson, Ralph Harper, Osbin Harper, Tommy Carl Harper, Lucille Todd, Ruby Purvis, Louis Harper, James Harper and Leaston Harper. Mrs. Hutcheson, a native of Coffee County, was a member of Parkview Calvary Holiness Church.

Survivors include:Her Husband of 74 years: J. H. “Bud” Hutcheson of Douglas, GA, 1 Son: Larry Hutcheson and wife Lisa of Douglas, GA. 1 Daughter: Judy Hutcheson Grantham of Douglas, GA. 6 Grandchildren: Donna Kay Merritt of Richmond Hill, GA, Kim Spain of Douglas, GA, Constance Anthony of Douglas, GA, Chad Grantham of Leesburg, GA, Kory Grantham of Douglas, GA, Kayla Jones of Jacksonville, FL, 8 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Herschell Smith, Rev. Kyle Taft and Rev. Tim Mock officiating. Entombment will follow in the family mausoleum at the Douglas City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday evening March 13, 2019, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
