Richard Ellis Lambert, age 84, of Douglas, passed away on Sunday May 26, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Lambert was born on March 21, 1935 in Newtown, Pennsylvania, the son of the late William Lambert and Charlotte Elrica Brown Lambert.

 

He worked as a truck driver with Concrete Trucking Service for over twenty years, was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War, and was a member of Saginaw Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include his son, Robert E. Lambert of Brunswick; daughter, Wanda J. Wood and husband Scott of Alma; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brother, Donald Lambert of Kissimmee, Fla.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 30, 2019 at 11 am at Saginaw Baptist Church with Rev. L. G. Aldridge officiating. Interment will follow in Saginaw Church Cemetery with military honors by Ft. Stewart Honor Guard.  

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
