Mindy Taylor Spires, age 39, formerly of Alma, passed away suddenly due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Bacon County on January 24, 1980 to the late Milton Delmus Taylor.

 

Survivors include her husband Greg Spires of Douglas; mother and stepfather, Harriett Moore Taylor and Dale Carter of Alma; three daughters Cheyenne Taylor, Shelby Hutto of Alma and Haley Spires of Douglas; brother Shane Taylor (Allana) of Alma; sisters Kim Davis of Waycross and Amanda Williams of Alma; god-daughters Amber and Marley Hilton of Alma; niece and nephew, Madison and Parker Lingenfelter of Alma; mother-in-law Beverly Spires; and sister-in-law Michelle Spires of Douglas.

 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 1 at 11:00 AM at New Vision Church with Rev. Rob Merritt officiating. Interment will follow in Chatterton Church Cemetery.

 

Active pallbearers will be: Bobby Spires, Keith Brigman, Clay Spires, Steve Nasworth and Ricky Bowers. Honorary pallbearers will be; Bacon County High School Competition Cheer Team and the Bacon County High School Competition Cheer Team Moms.

 

Crosby Funeral Home of Alma is in charge of arrangements.
