Malinda McGovern Graves, age 74, of Wray, passed away on Saturday October 19, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Graves was born on November 18, 1944 in Coffee County, the daughter of the late George Monroe McGovern and the late Velma Carver McGovern.

Mrs. Graves was a homemaker and was a member of Bethany Holiness Baptist Church and in later years attended New Corinth Calvary Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pearlie Graves.

Survivors include her nephew, George L. McKinnon (wife Kelly) of Wray and a niece, Lisa Sirmans (husband Bryan) of Homerville; great nieces and great nephews, Andy McKinnon, Michelle Younger (husband Dennis), Kayla McKinnon, Adam Wiggly, Paul Wiggly.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Monday October 21, 2019 at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Jody Silver and Rev. Michael Harper officiating. Interment followed in the Bethany Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were T.J. Carver, Billy Carver, Matthew McCallum, Andy McKinnon, Newton Sellers and Brandon Kirkland. Musical selections will be “Stroll Over Heaven” and “When I Travel My Last Mile” by Rev. Michael Harper. Rev. Michael Harper, pianist, will play prelude and postlude music.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
