Betty Ann Tanner Carmichael, age 85, of Nicholls, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at Harborview Satilla Nursing Home after an extended illness. 

She was daughter of the late Luther Vincent Tanner and Lula Mae Jordan Tanner. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bob Ned Ivan Carmichael; son Ned Carmichael; daughter Betty Sue Burch Ellis; brothers Junior, Quinn and Robert Tanner; sisters Pansy Taylor, Clara Rowell and Hazel Williams. She was a member of the Nicholls Church of God.

Survivors include two children Ronnie Burch (Debra) of Nicholls and Norma Jean Carmichael (Paul Sears) of Waycross; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services were held Monday, October 21 at 2:00 PM at Hall Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Tanner and Rev. Dewayne Tanner officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
