Ms. Deidre Michelle Hall Ross, age 48 of Douglas, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 21, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Michelle was born February 18, 1971 to Clyde Hall and Jean Baker Hall Cato. She was preceded in death by her husband, Derek Ross; her maternal grandparents, Elbert and Ruby Baker; and her paternal grandparents, Irene Hall Chauncey and step-grandfather Dud Chauncey.

Michelle was born in Coffee County and she was a homemaker. She had received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University. She was of the Church of God faith.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Jean and Billy Cato
of Douglas; father and step-mother, Clyde and Charlene Hall of Douglas; sister Gina Hobrecht of Douglas; brother Jame Lewis of Athens; step-brothers Phil Carver of Alma and Chris Cato of Kentucky; step-sisters Jane Ann Brandt of Kentucky and Debby Cato of Waycross; many cousins and friends.

The funeral service was Saturday afternoon, January 25, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at West Ward Church of God with Rev. Britt Peavy and Rev. Travis Peavy officiating. The interment followed in Axson Cemetery in Atkinson County.

Active pallbearers were Charlie Davis, Jon Baker, DeWayne Hutcheson, Keith Hutcheson, Adam Heidenreich, Matt Chauncey, Chris Cato and Phil Carver.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
