Vicky McKinnon, age 58, of Douglas, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. McKinnon was born on April 19, 1961 in Coffee County, Georgia, daughter of the late Vernell “Vernon” and Edith Davidson Snipes.

Mrs. McKinnon was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Gibson.

Survivors include her husband, Randall McKinnon of Douglas, GA; three daughters, Amanda Tharpe (Bill) of Callahan, FL, Tammy Robertson (Brandon) of Nashville, TN and Jessica McKinnon of Savannah, GA; eight grandchildren, Courtney Hughes, William Tharpe II, Leilah Tharpe, Alyssa Tharpe, Blayden Tharpe, Kassidy Robertson, Kendall Robertson and Kaplan Robertson; two great grandchildren, Ansley Tharpe and Ryder Laskis; two brothers, Cecil Snipes of Jacksonville, FL and Shane Snipes of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Athena Rogers (Roger Goddard) of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Memorialization is by cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
