Linda Gail McElroy Gaskins, 69

Mrs. Linda Gail McElroy Gaskins, age 69 of Ambrose, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 12, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Gaskins was born February 9, 1951 to the late Julius C. McElroy and the late Jessie Harper McElroy. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Jimmy Ray McElroy and Larry McElroy.

Mrs. Gaskins, a native of Coffee County, was a cattle farmer. She attended Bushell Chapel Church.

Survivors include her husband, John Wayne Gaskins of Ambrose, GA; niece Tammie M. Douglas of Nicholls, GA; and nephew Stanley McElroy of Nicholls, GA.

The graveside service and interment will be Saturday morning, August 15, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Joe Hiers officiating.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Gail’s memory to the American Cancer Society 428 Bull Street Savannah, GA 31401

Active pallbearers for the service will be: Clarkie Leverette, Stanley McElroy, Charles Harper, Brandon Douglas, Christopher McElroy and Ryan Douglas.

Please note that due to restrictions of attendance and six feet social distancing being placed on funeral service attendees by the CDC and the State of Georgia concerning the containment of COVID-19, please observe their guidelines. Please wear your mask to the service.

Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
