Lucille Teston Jowers, age 85, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Vista Park. Mrs. Jowers was born on December 7, 1935 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Clinton and Ida Mae Perry Teston Sr.


Mrs. Jowers retired after 26 years with Concerted Services as a Life Skills Technician and attended Southview Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Joe Jowers and Darlene Jowers.

 

Survivors include daughter, Gail Jowers of Douglas, GA; son, Steve Jowers of Douglas, GA; five grandchildren, Justin Justice (Susan) of West Green, GA, Kandi Strickland (Reggie) of Douglas, GA, Sergio Valencia of Douglas, GA, Alicia Valencia of Douglas, GA and Dustin Craig of Douglas, GA; eight great grandchildren, Taylor Justice, Jayla Justice, Lanie Grace Justice, Darian Patten (Colby), Madison Strickland, Michael Strickland, Ivy Adams and Chloe Craig; three brothers, Clinton Teston (Patricia) of Douglas, GA, Elton Teston (LaQuita) of West Green, GA and J.D. Teston of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 3pm until 3:45pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 4:00pm at Reedy Branch Church Cemetery with Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating. Pallbearers will be James Teston, Frankie Teston, Bryan Teston, Stacey Teston, Darrell Teston and John Davis.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
