Norma C. Waldron, age 76, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Waldron was born on February 20, 1944 in Irwin County, Georgia the daughter of the late John Nathan Chaney and Myrtle Joiner Chaney.

 

Mrs. Waldron was a homemaker and attended Trinity Non-Denominational Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Wooten Jr and her second husband, Hogan Waldron, two sons, David Roberson and Joe Wooten, and a daughter, Denise Waldron.

 

Survivors include two daughters, Demitri Wooten (Gary) of Douglas, GA and Charleen Moore (Mike) of Alma, GA; son, Tom Wooten (April) of Douglas, GA; sister, Lillie Mae Jenks of Ambrose, GA; two stepsons, Avery Waldron of Starke, FL and Doyle Wooten (Linda) of Douglas, GA; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, February 3, 2021 from 6 pm until 9 pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Floyd Musgrove officiating. Interment will follow at Refuge Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Will Coffee, Hunter Wooten, Trey Spivey, Al Spivey, Andy Wooten, Shawn Bullard.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
