Mr. Wilder Frank Phillips, Jr. age 82 of Douglas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 7, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Phillips was born May 9, 1938 to the late Wilder Frank Phillips, Sr. and the late Virginia Hill Phillips. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Faye Key Phillips.

Mr. Phillips, a native of Sebring, FL, had been the owner and operator of Phillips Tire Company for many years. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and he was also an US Army veteran.

Survivors include:

Son: Bill Phillips and wife Julie of Douglas, GA

Sister: Helen Wagner of Port St. Lucie, FL

Grandchildren: Chad Phillips of Douglas, GA
Atlas Hough and wife Kayla of Douglas, GA

Great Grandchildren: A. B. Hough and Kallaway Hough both of Douglas, GA

Several friends and other relatives.

The graveside service and interment will be held Friday morning, April 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sand Hill Cemetery with Rev. Larry Stone officiating.

Active pallbearers for the service will be: Atlas Hough, Chad Phillips, Sonny Rooks, James Corbett, Todd Winkler and Johnny Wayne Jowers.

Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the graveside service and interment. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
