Tami Sue Bell, age 61, of Patterson, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Memorial Satilla Health, Waycross, Georgia. Mrs. Bell was born on August 25, 1960 in Orlando, Florida the daughter of Carolyn Sue Douglas Holton and the late Robert V. Holton.

 

Mrs. Bell worked as a social worker for the State of Georgia and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Blackshear, Georgia.

 

Survivors include husband, David Bell of Patterson, GA; daughter, Marcy Lewis of  Patterson, GA; 4 sons, Anthony DePratter (Mandy) of Folkston, GA, Eric DePratter of Vidalia, GA, Kolby DePratter of New Orleans, LA and, Wren DePratter (Jennie) of Blackshear, GA; mother, Carolyn Holton of Douglas, GA; Step-daughter: Courtney Bell: 13 grandchildren, Wednesday Lewis, Natalie Sheigh Lewis, Holton DePratter, Rebecca Lynn Lewis, Gad DePratter, Rilie DePratter, Ellery DePratter, Hadi DePratter, Gunnar Wilson, Kiah DePratter, Hudson DePratter, Lexi DePratter and Stark DePratter; brother, Andy Holton (Sherryl) of Douglas, GA; 2 sisters, Wendie  McConnell (Charles) of Augusta, GA and Renee’ Holton of Douglas, GA; special friend, Arlene Bennett; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Monday, September 20, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Douglas First Baptist Church, Douglas, GA.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Douglas First Baptist Church with Dr. Donald Hattaway officiating. Mrs. Bell’s sons will give a eulogy. Interment will follow at Stokesville Church Cemetery, Axson, GA.

 

Pallbearers will be Bobby Holton, John Tyler Holton, Andy Holton, Gordon Carver, Lance Holton, Randal Peterson and Jacob Holton.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
