Mr. Roy Trowell, aged 66, of Broxton, GA, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Memorial Satilla Health Center in Waycross, Georgia, following an extended illness. Mr. Trowell was born on March 10, 1955 to the late Woodrow and Lalla Swails Trowell.

 

Survivors include his Sister; Linda (John) Harper, of Broxton, GA ,  Brother; Woodrow (Gail) Trowell, of Ray City, GA. Four Nieces and Nephews; Selena (Billy) Merritt, Michael (Regina) Trowell, Michele (Chris) Griffin, and Darrell (Jodi) Lockhart. A Special Aunt; Estelle Caves of McRae, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Woodrow Trowell and Lalla Swails Trowell, a sister, Mary Jo Trowell Royal, and a brother, Tommy Roger Trowell.

 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 28, 2021, from 3:00PM to 4:00PM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 4:00PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. B.J. Holliday, Jerry Wooten, and Charlie Kight officiating.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Merritt, Tristan Merritt, Michael Trowell, Jerry Wooten, Jerry Ashley Wooten, Kelvin Wooten, Joshua Trowell, Charlie Kight, and Herman Railey.

 

Memorialization will be by cremation.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
