Mr. Silas Michael “Coach” Goss, aged 72, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Coach Goss was born on January 23, 1949 to the late Thurman Prince “Buddy” Goss and Nancy Ann Phillips Goss.
His survivors include his Sister; Rosemary Preston of Powder Springs, GA, Niece; Michelle Cook (Jason) of Powder Springs, GA, two Special Sons; Jose Castanon (Brandy) of Valdosta, GA, Juan Castanon (Lisa) of Bloomingdale, GA, and five Special Grandchildren; Tobias Castanon, Kinlee Castanon, Alessandra Castanon, Ariella Castanon, and Selena Castanon.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Douglas, GA
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, following the visitation, at 2:00PM, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Douglas, GA with Rev. Chris Calhoun officiating. Active Pallbearers will be Mark Elliot, Danny Ross, John Day, Paul Elliot, Dr. Somnuk “Sam” Pow-Anpongkul M.D., Dr. Pete Pow-Anpongkul M.D., Robbie Bidwell, Ben Horner, and Charlie Sims.

The interment will take place on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta, GA, at a time to be determined soon.
