Mrs. Ila Florence Bayliss Davis of Nicholls, GA passed away Monday evening, January 24, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mrs. Davis was born December 11, 1930 to the late Frederick Bayliss and the late Hattie Dora King Bayliss. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Davis, 1 Brother: Fred Bayliss and 1 Great Great Grandson: Thomas Michael Simpson.

Mrs. Davis, a native of Tweed, Ontario, Canada, was retired from Coffee Regional Medical Center after 38 years and four months working in the Lab. She was a member of Nicholls Baptist Church

Survivors include:

2 Children: Edward Charles Davis and wife Margie of Alma, GA
Linda Gayle Silva of Douglas, GA

1 Sister: Doris Merlee Bayliss Calvary of Toronto, Canada

1 Sister-in-Law: Olive Bayliss of Toronto, Canada

13 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild

A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The funeral service will be held Friday afternoon, January 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Campbell and Rev. Rick Darby officiating. The interment will follow in Roxie Mae Cemetery near Nicholls, GA.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, January 28, 2022 at Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM

Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Andrew Corbitt, Chris Corbitt, Josh Corbitt, Joel Davis, Chase Davis, Samuel Davis, Jacob Davis and Jack Wyatt.

Honorary Pallbearers for the service will be: A. J. Corbitt, Trent Corbitt, Ethan Corbitt, Jayce Corbitt, Tyler Schermerhorn, Cody Schermerhorn, Eli Davis and Chase Davis.

Due to COVID, we ask all attendees to please follow the rules and guidelines for social distancing and to wear your mask for safety precautions to the visitation, funeral service and interment.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
