Walter Joe Harper, age 64, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Southern Care Hospice in Vidalia, GA. Mr. Harper was born on May 27, 1958, in Douglas, GA to the late George Harper and the late Neva “Evelyn” Nugent Harper.
Survivors include: Son: James D (Ashley) Harper of Oklahoma; Son: Rocky J (Kristy ) Harper of Sarasota FL; Brother: George D Harper of Alabama; Four Grandchildren: Jacob Harper, Caleb Harper, Jesalyn Harper and Joshua Harper; Special Niece: Carol (Ricky) Hutchison of Ambrose GA. Mr. Harper is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by Father: George Harper; Mother: Neva “Evelyn” Nugent Harper; Two Sisters; Carla Paulk and Vicki Highsmith; Niece: Becky Highsmith; Two Brothers: Larry Harper and Jerry Harper.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Sims Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at Flem Harper Cemetery with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: Nick Harper, Randy Vickers, Pat Tomberlin, Ramey Newton, Johnny Smith, Conrad Sayer and Shannon Spivey.
