The Martin Centre needed a more reliable Internet connection; however, no fiber-based options were available at their location in Downtown Douglas. ATC Broadband offered to partner with the local entertainment venue and become the official internet provider to the Martin Centre and Friend of the Martin.

“ATC Broadband is excited to partner with the Martin Centre to provide fiber optic based Internet and support the theater’s efforts to bring quality entertainment to downtown Douglas,” said Kevin Brooks, President of ATC.

ATC agreed to build a fiber optic line to the Martin Centre and now provides them with a secure Gigabit fiber connection.  The expanded Internet bandwidth will better serve visiting bands, in-house register systems and fans in attendance. ATC Broadband looks forward to a long partnership with the Martin Centre.

“We are so pleased to put together a partnership deal naming ATC as the “Official Internet of the Martin Centre” that helps the Martin Centre continue its mission as a local community treasure. The Martin Centre is an integral part of our downtown as well as our local, cultural history,” said Robb Hurst.

For more information, businesses may contact Nathan Lingenfelter with ATC Broadband at nlingenfelter@atcnetworks.net or call him at (912) 383-5019.

Located on Ashley Street in downtown Douglas, this historic 1940s theatre has been restored to its original art deco splendor. The Martin Centre, now a non-profit organization, may be used for performing arts as well as large sales meetings, conferences, and seminars.

The Martin Centre features seating for 750, three dressing rooms, theatrical lighting and sound system, and audio visual equipment.

As a 3rd generation, family-owned company in South Georgia, ATC Broadband started as a mom-and-pop company over 80 years ago and quickly grew into the company that serves your community today. ATC began building fiber in Coffee County in 1999 and has constantly expanded their footprint every year.

With high-speed fiber Internet and business solutions in twelve counties, ATC’s fiber network reaches all the way to St. Simons Island and down to Kings Bay Base. For commercial and residential Internet, Ethernet and Voice Services throughout southern Georgia, count on your local company, ATC.
