Samuel Darwin Surrency, age 91, of Nicholls, GA, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022. Mr. Surrency was born on January 13, 1931, in Coffee County, GA to the late Horace Alva Surrency and the late Minnie Griswold Surrency.

 

 

Survivors include; Daughter: Donna Surrency of Nicholls, GA, Son: Gary (Renee) Surrency of Douglas, GA, Three Grandchildren: Laree (Jay) Vickers of Douglas, GA, Lydia (Dustin) Evans of Watkinsville, GA, Gary S. (Jenny) Surrency Jr. of Douglas, GA, Six Great Grandchildren: Addie Vickers, Ava Vickers, Arlee Vickers, Charlotte Evans, Audrey Evans, Noah Evans, First Cousin: Lina Beecher of Jesup, GA and several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father: Horace Alva Surrency, Sr.;  Mother: Minnie Griswold Surrency, Wife: Joann Johnson Surrency, and one brother Horace Alva Surrency, Jr.

 

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Chapel of Sims with Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Meeks Cemetery.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
