Maxine Brantley Lamb, age 84, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022. Ms. Lamb was born on December 31, 1937 in Coffee County, GA to the late James Frank Brantley and the late Opal Harper Brantley.

 

 

Survivors include: Son: Kenneth (Lori) Lamb Jr., of Nicholls, GA, Two Daughters: Teresa L. (Timothy) Kirkland of Guyton, GA, Amanda L. Cohen of Douglas, GA, Son in law: Michael Cowman of Brunswick, GA,  Five Grandchildren: Timothy (Cate) Kirkland Jr., Mary (Sean) Thurman, Kristy (Mark) Bagley, Kenneth Cohen, Kendall Lamb, Five Great Grandchildren: Kaylei Bagley, Chet Bagley, Bradley Bagley, Madelynn Bagley, Maria Thurman, Brother: Jessie (Sue) Brantley, Sister: Jean Brantley, Four Sisters in Law: Lucy Nell Brantley, JoAnn Brantley, Betty Brantley, Lawanna Brantley and Brother in law: Larry Rains. She was preceded in death by: Father: James Frank Brantley, Mother: Opal Harper Brantley, Husband: Kenneth Lamb, Daughter: Kathy L. Cowman, Granddaughter: Kimberly Cohen, Sister: Audrey Rains, Five Brothers: Billy Brantley, Tony Brantley, Jimmy Brantley, Julian Brantley and Jack Brantley.

 

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 2:00PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. L.G. Aldridge officiating. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Timothy Kirkland Jr., Kendall Lamb, Mark Bagley, Sean Thurman, Jessie Brantley Jr., Johnny Brantley and Kenneth Cohen.

 

 

In lieu of flowers the family would like for donations to be made to Regency Hospice and Alzheimer‘s Foundation.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
