Merline B. Minix, age 91, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022. Mrs. Minix was born on December 19, 1931 in Coffee County, GA to Leon Batten and Cora Lee Douglas Batten.
Survivors include; Husband: James Minix of Douglas, GA, Two Daughters: Patricia Spivey (David) of Axson, GA, Teresa Vaughn (Tim) of Douglas, GA, Eight Grandchildren: Dawn Moore (Keith) of Douglas, GA, Amber Purcell (Charlie) of Douglas, GA, Brittany Disharoon (Rick) of Axson, GA, Patrick Spivey (Haylie) of Axson, GA, Jamie Vaughn (Marti) of Douglas, GA, Courtney Vickers (Michael) of Ambrose, GA, Zachary Vaughn (Kayla) of Douglas, GA and Patience Hope Vaughn of Douglas, GA, Twenty-one Great grandchildren, Two Great Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by; Father: Leon Batten, Mother: Cora Lee Douglas Batten, Three Sisters and One Brother.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Byron Griffis and Rev. Leroy Spivey officiating. Interment followed at Royals Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Jamie Vaughn, Zackary Vaughn, J.T. Vaughn, Patrick Spivey, Mathew Moore and Lane Deen.
