Mr. Lee Roy Wright, age 85 of Douglas, passed away early Friday morning, January 13, 2023 at Vista Park following an extended illness. Mr. Wright was born June 14, 1937 to the late John Fate Wright and the late Bessie Sears Wright. Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Randall Wright and LaGrant Wright.
Mr. Wright, a native of Atkinson County, had been self-employed as a bulldozer and excavator operator for many years . He attended Tanner Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends, Saturday evening, January 14, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, January 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Jordan and Rev. Rob Merritt officiating. The interment will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Satilla Memorial Gardens.
