Virginia Gladys Davis, age 89, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023. Mrs. Davis was born on February 4, 1933, in Tennessee to Thomas Sherman Gourley Sr. and Pearl Emmaline Roark Gourley. Virginia and her husband Coley owned and operated Davis Radiator and Welding for 60 years in Douglas, GA.

 

 

Survivors include; Two Grandsons: Dusty Hampton Davis (Candace) of Baxley, GA and Roman Coley Davis of Denton, GA, Three Nieces: Pearl Peacock (Allan) of Douglas, GA, Virginia O’Steen (Sam) of Douglas, GA and Modeena Deen of Broxton, GA, Two Great Grandchildren: Rhett Hampton Davis and Lilly Grace Davis. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Thomas and Pearl Gourley, Husband: Coley Hampton Davis and Son: Mark Coley Davis.

 

 

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at First Baptist Church.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church with Dr. Rev. Don Hattaway and Brother Shep Johnson officiating. Interment followed at the Douglas City Cemetery.

 

 

Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.simsfuneralhome.org.
