Ms. Lois Watson McFadden, affectionately known as “Mother,” was born November 11, 1936, in Camden, New Jersey, to the late Ezekial and Ella Key Watson.

Mother was a loving and caring individual who loved everyone who crossed her path. She was full of hugs, kind words, and warm embraces. “I Love You,” “Give me a hug,” “Kiss the baby for me,” and “When you coming back to see me” was her favorite lines.

She grew up in Osierfield, Georgia, but later moved to Ambrose, Georgia, to start her family. At an early age, she became a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, where she accepted Christ as her personal savior.

Lois has fought the good fight, ran the race, and won the battle. On Monday, March 13, 2023, at Coffee Regional Medical Center, God knelt down and whispered, “Come home my child, no more pain, no more sickness.” Obediently, she surrendered her soul; she’s no longer dreaming the dream; she now lives the dream with her Heavenly Father.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezekial and Ella Key Watson; two children, Winder McFadden and Ezell McFadden; one brother, Otis Watson; one sister, Mary Alice Bussey; and one grandson, Marquivius Brockington.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving daughter: Rosa Mae (Danny) Brockington Martin of Ambrose, Georgia; five grandchildren: Demetria (Jeffery) Sawyer, Tonya Brockington, DeAndra (Richard) Jones, Shenita McFadden, and YaKima Martin, all of Ambrose, Georgia; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-greatgrandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Harrell’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
