Hattie Mae Highsmith, age 64, of Ambrose, Georgia passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at her residence following an extended illness. Ms. Highsmith was born on November 14, 1958, in Ocilla, GA to Robert Lee Highsmith and Myram Hutto Stephens.

 

 

Survivors include: Daughter, Alisha Hall of Baxley, GA, Grandchildren, Brittney Burks of Baxley, GA, Candice Moore of Baxley, GA, Alexis Moore of Baxley, GA, Two Great Grandchildren, Braiden Burks, Ry’ Vaughn Stewart, Four Sisters, Jan (Doyle) Spears of Ocilla, GA, Marie Dick of Tifton, GA, Marsha (Phill) Laster of Jesup, GA, Sherry (Sammy) Reed, of Germantown, OH, Brother, Marvin L. Highsmith of Ambrose, GA, Father, Robert (Shirley) Highsmith of Cleveland, GA, Step-Father, Gerald Stephens, and Special Friends, Randall Hall and Tommy Howell.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 12:00PM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Brent Snow, Preston Snow, Shannon Jarrell, Bo Chaney, Phill Laster, Christopher Harrell, and Michael Kirkland.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 6:00PM to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
