Mr. Frederick Lee Bookout, age 68 of Douglas, passed away Wednesday morning, May 17, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Bookout was born March 13, 1955 to the late Albert Bookout and the late Jewell Courson Bookout. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Step-Children: Denise Waldron and Vincent Waldron. 

 

 

Mr. Bookout, a native of Coffee County, had been an appliance repairman for Department of Transportation, Coffee County Board of Education at the Bus Barn and Walmart. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

His Wife: Lorraine Taylor Bookout of Douglas, GA 

 

 

3 Children: Angela Strom and husband Stacey of Douglas, GA 

Frederick Lee Bookout and wife Tiffany of Ambrose, GA 

Tiffany Swan of Douglas, GA 

 

 

1 Step-Son: Scott Waldron and wife Michelle of Douglas, GA 

 

 

2 Sisters: Frances Spikes and husband Rev. Lonnie of Pearson, GA 

Laquita Teston and husband Elton of West Green, GA 

 

 

1 Brother: Clayton Bookout and wife Donna of Broxton, GA 

 

 

A number of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren 

 

 

Also several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. 

 

 

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, May 22, 2023 from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM at Rocky Pond Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held on Monday afternoon, May 22, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Rocky Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Spikes and Rev. Walt DeLoach officiating. The interment will follow in Satilla Memorial Gardens. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
