Perry Curtis Porter passed away peacefully at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Mr. Porter was born on May. 6, 1944 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of late Mr. Tiny Porter and Mrs. Mary Dale Porter.

 

 

Survivors include: His Beloved Wife; Dorothy Conner Porter of Douglas, GA , Two Sons; Patrick (Monet) Porter of Douglas, GA, and Jamey Turner of Douglas, GA, Four Daughters; Sharon (Lindy) Sermons of Douglas, GA, Janice (Roger) Batten of Nicholls, GA, Donna Harper of Broxton, GA, Kimberly (Lance)  Mckinnon of Douglas, GA , One Brother; James (Tina) Porter of Waycross, GA, Two Sisters; Sissy (Ricky) Fogel of Waycross, GA, and Linda (Dan) Thomas of Waycross, GA, along with several Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in Death by: Three Brothers ; Pete Porter, Bill Porter, and Gerald Porter, Three Sisters; Ama Leigh Chaney, Helen Marks , and Betty Anderson, Father; Tiny Porter, and Mother; Mary Dale Porter.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 6PM until 9PM. Funeral  services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Harvest Time Church of God in Douglas, GA, with Rev. Glenn Fussell officiating, and special speaker Bobby Pope. Interment will follow at Roxie Mae Baptist Church Cemetery.
